The RV Professional Tennis Academy of Barcelona was founded by Marcos Roy and Ignasi Verdonces that are currently acting as Managing Directors. The main aim of the Academy is to provide with high quality technical, physical, nutritional and psychological support to the professional tennis players competing in the ATP tour and to the young junior players facing the professional challenge.
Top-100 ATP players as Óscar Hernández - Spanish Champion 2008 - and Beto Martín belong to the RV tennis Academy and are currently the most representative players of our team. The RV Tennis Academy counts with an elite group of well-known professional tennis coaches as Albert Banús, Rubén Merchán and Miguel Miranda. All our coaches have an extensive experience as professional players in the ATP circuit. In addition the Academy counts with a Physical Trainer, Marc Marqués, that has a long experience working with front-line Professional Tennis Players.
In addition the scope of the Academy is broaden to our Junior Team, that usually train with the senior players, being observed by the coaches that orientate them in all aspects of their personal development as players and as persons. The staff tries to provide the most positive tennis environment for our players.
The RV Professional Tennis Academy of Barcelona performs most of its activities at the Sant Gervasi Tennis Club, a very well equpped private resort just 25 minutes away from the city center of Barcelona. Surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape the Sant Gervasi Tennis Club is a quiet place and an optimum place for athletics.
The Academy receives financial support from HEAD, the well known sports brand and from MATCH-BALL an important group of sports shops in Barcelona that takes special care about tennis and everything related with tennis.RV Professional Tennis Academy Barcelona aims to provide excellence in tennis coaching programmes and facilities that will enable players to fulfill their tennis potential, targeting the achievement at the highest international level in the sport.
